Memories Through a Disappearing World is a graduate thesis study that explores the concept of loss, through a curated series of collective memories. Part 2 of this project consists of a website, designed to optimize a sensory user experience. Adapting to new technologies, The Digital Archives seeks to provide a living space for current collective memories, in an archival form.
Based on personal speculation, this project questions the concept of time by placing our present experiences in different time frames. Everyday, these memories are slowly disappearing into our past, while living in a digital future online. Sensory information is being altered with new technologies, allowing these memories to fade away. By replacing these senses with new ones, we are contributing to a new world; a world that continuously disappears.
